Anthropology is the study of various aspects of humans in the context of past and contemporary societies. As an interdisciplinary science, anthropology combines qualitative and quantitative research methods in an effort to understand human, culture and social relationships in a holistic and cross-cultural manner. Anthropologists investigate how individuals of different societies differ from one another based on detailed field observation. The aim of anthropological research is to increase our understanding of humans and the societies they construct.
